Mickey Mouse fight

We can reassure ourselves however we like.
We can say that the PS 1 isn't left-wing.
We can say that the left isn't that, but rather what "I" think.
We can say that everything's going to the dogs.
We can say that we must save Private LFI 2 by blithely ignoring the pro-revolutionary posturing of various factions.
We can consider as many human communities as there are anthills, all while giving advice for the dreamed-of harmony of a nation—a name that, when spoken, sticks in the speaker's throat—but in which every individual is worth more than the collective.

We can say many things…

... except when you've got your arse glued to your chair, droning on with the same rubbish for years without ever getting stuck in on the ground, without ever helping your neighbour, doing nothing but writing blogs with insipid, pre-formatted articles of libertarian thought, and considering yourself one of those in the know.

A tin-pot soldier laden with pixelated medals, symbols of inaction and the illusion of our virtual convictions.

In fact, we're saying nothing more than an infinite loop of regrets and missed opportunities. A spiral of despair, infinitely sad in such insignificance.

  1. PS = Parti Socialiste. French Socialist Party. A left-wing political movement, currently a minority in France, but which has governed on several occasions (Presidents of the Republic: François Mitterrand - 1981 and François Hollande - 2012).

  2. LFI = La France Insoumise. A French political party classified as left-wing or even far-left. A grassroots movement embodied by one man, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who won nearly 20% of the vote in the first round of the 2022 presidential elections. Sometimes allied with the Socialist Party, sometimes rejected by the rest of the left.
